Measuring Correctly and Taking Before Photos

Measuring has been well debated throughout the forums, however, it is such an important aspect of PE, that it deserves to be included in this Tips Thread.

Measuring correctly in the first instance BEFORE commencing PE will ensure that you are able to keep track of your gains and therefore stay motivated and committed to the cause.

The Tape Measure and Ruler will not DECEIVE you and will show you the tiny gains that are NOT visible to the naked eye.

Unfortunately, a lot of guys launch into PE expecting to see with their own eyes, miraculous and obvious gains in their penis size overnight. This is not the case!!! Gains come along in the form of tiny immeasurable increases each workout session. Its like watching grass grow!

Because these gains are so slow, a quarter inch increase in 2 months will not be obvious to the eye of the PE’er, as the eye becomes used to the tiny gains as they occur. Having said that, even quite significant gains on the ruler over time, will appear to be marginal to the eye of the PE’er due to this phenomena.

This brings us to the importance of taking starting pictures of your Flaccid and Erect sizes with measuring devices showing starting sizes, both Flaccid and Erect – Girth and Length.

In this day and age, most people have access to a webcam or a digital camera, so there really is no excuse. If you don’t have a camera, draw your length and girth as lines on a piece of paper. It is fascinating to compare your old size against gains in due course and keeps the motivation alive, to work hard to get more gains.

When measuring initially, I suggest that you measure your erection several times over a couple of days, this will give you a mean average size. If the fluctuations vary 5 mm eg: 157 mm – 162mm, then log your start stats as 160mm, or whatever the equivalent is in Inches. Never overstate your stats ie: NEVER round UP eg: 162mm is listed as a start size of 165mm.You have 3mm (1/8”) worth of hard work before you can log a gain.

Measuring is well detailed in a number of threads on the subject, so I wont go into detail here other than to mention that when measuring girth, do not pull the tape tightly, you will lose girth!!

Simply wrap around your penis lightly and this will be the consistent way to measure every time. With length, it doesn’t matter whether you measure from the side or the top, as long as you measure in exactly the same place each time.

If you want to know how you measure compared to the average size, then measure bone pressed along the top to the penis tip, this is how all penis size studies are conducted. Side measurements will give you a little more length, but it is much better for taking photos.

The best time to measure is with a 100% erection. I find that morning wood is the best erection you can have for measuring purposes. Never measure a less than 100% erection!

Be frugal with you measuring. Once a month is plenty!! and try and do so on the same date each month. Measuring too often will result in disappointment. Allow at least 2 – 3 months before expecting to see measurable and significant gains.

Don’t forget!! Gains can manifest themselves in other ways other than actual size increases. Increased vascularity,(enlarged veins), chamber separation and expansion etc, are visual gains that will give you a more “masculine looking” penis and are almost as good a result as actual size gains!

Good luck
