I know I have asked this question before but I want more answers.
When I do the long shlong basic I can't grip my penis that well, also I start to get an erection which makes stretching difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There are a few solutions for the type of problem that you are experiencing, an inability to grip the penis for stretching!
use a powder, like baby powder for example, and apply some to the portion of your penis you need for gripping. And also your fingers, or hand, depending on your gripping style. This will make your grip much easier to hold, since the surfaces will now be dry.
use a soft material, wrap around the portion of penis for gripping, and then stretch. This is an excellent remedy for people that have problems with grip. Nothing beats a kleenex (what you wipe your nose with), it does a great job!
Or, if you do stretches before your jelqs, switch the two exercises around so that you are now doing jelqs before stretches. You will see that now, after jelquing, your glans will be much larger, and a much larger glans will make gripping your penis easier to do, leading to efficient stretches!
The previous suggestion works if you don't mind doing jelqs before stretches.
Also, by doing the jelqs first, and at the end of jelquing, your penis will be worked enough so that it would likely lose its eagerness to become erect, or at the least, it will be diminished!
If you don't want to perform jelqs before stretching, then there are really only two ways to get rid of an erection:
let your erection subside on its own, and then continue stretching when you are flaccid.
do quick, short, strong PC flexes. This will fatigue the muscle, and your erection levels will decrease as a result. Continue stretching when you reach the flaccid condition.
You could try experimenting with different grip patterns, such as the overhand OK grip, for example.
A really good tip, is to put your second hand behind your first hand (your gripping hand) and apply pressure with your second hand right behind the first hand in the same direction of pull. You are now basically adding extra force to your stretching than you normally would get with only one hand!
