I was reading a few of the threads and I have come to wonder about my workout routine. I generaly spend anywhere from 25-40 minutes doing my exercises but I just read a thread from someone who says he jelqs for 2+ hours a day. Now I know that there is no such program on the PH site, but does spending that kind of time actualy help. I would realy appreciate it if someone who's seen results would reply to this.
Also does anyone know if doing the horizontal motion excercise without holding the base of the penis is more effective or less effective. Thanks for listening.

The longer the workout, generally, the less effective it becomes. A warning sign that this might be the case is your penis will become unresponsive to the exercises; you might have difficulty bringing yourself up to partial erection, or erection. It's like flogging a dead horse!
It depends, of course, what the person does for their exercises, to some extent as well.
Theoretically, you get the most benefit possible within the first few minutes or repititions of your routine. The time duration itself of the routine is dependant on exercises and repetitions.
25 to 40 minutes for a routine is a plausible time, and personally, I think that PE'ing for 2+ hours, if this is the case, someone would have to not be easily bored, that is, lose interest after so long. This could lead to a sloppy routine where the techniques are performed substandard, and the results will reflect that.
But, on the flip side, maybe 2+ hours is what is working for him. PE is about finding what works for you, and if this is what works for him, then, it works for him, as long as he is getting results, of course. So, you can look at it both ways here.
The concept of the Horizontal Movement is to trap blood from escaping by having the base grip. The blood is kept within and is pushed up/down between your hands. If you were to not have a base clamp, the blood, when you push down, will be pushed out of your penis, and you lose the purpose of the Horizontal Movement, which is to develop your girth.
Think of it with this analogy. You have a tube of toothpaste. One end is capped, which is the glans of the penis, for comparison purposes. Now, the bottom of the tube of toothpaste will be cut, representing the attachment point to the body, and all its appurtenances, like the urethra, CC, CS, nerves, capillaries, veins, etc that run inside the middle of the toothpaste tube.
Okay, grab the bottom of the tube by clamping it, and with your other hand just above, or at the cap end (glans), move your hand up or down. You should feel the toothpaste being pushed ahead of your hand. As it does so, the toothpaste tubes' girth expands.
Same with your penis when you do the H. Movement.
Now, if you have no base clamp, and you proceed to jelq back towards the base, where is all the toothpaste going to go? Out the end! Or, your penile blood that you need for the exercise is pushed out. There would be no expansion of the tube girth, and likewise your penile girth.
Do the H. Movement as described for best results. :)
