Thank you for giving my email address to spammers

I signed up for penis-health.com and this website using an email address that I've never used for anything else, and over the last 8 weeks or so I received spam trying to sell viagra type pills or porn sites to that email address.

I've never listed the email ANYWHERE else, as I own a few domains, I use an abbreviation of what I'm signing up for @ one of my domains.

So, I'd like to thank you for supplying my email to spammers, it's very kind of you.

Firstly let me apologise for any spam you have started to receive to the email you used for PH and these forums.

I can tell you that we NEVER have and NEVER will sell or pass on any email addresses of customers. It just doesnt make any kind of business sense for us to do such a thing.

However, there are many many ways that spammers can collect email addresses, it is not just limited to us passing on the email addresses, collecting email addresses to spam is very much a skill and you would be surprised at some of the techniques used.

From simply guessing email addresses to scanning webpages email addresses can be collected, however, Lativio definately HAS NOT passed on any of your details and never will.

I understand how spammers can scrape sites (I work on the Internet and have done for over 10 years), but my email address for here is an abbreviation.

I know it's not available from the forums (or shouldn't be), and the only other place I've used it is penis-health.com

I'm not pissed at Lativio, just frustrated that a new email address has appeared in spam lists.

Lativio do not and never will sell e-mail addresses, we are more than willing to discuss with you this incident, you can e-mail me on darren at lativio.com and we can chat on the phone about this and find out the culprits... I can not stand spam.

i use www.spamgourmet.com to stop spam when asked to furnish an email address.

I work on the Internet, so I tend to use "catch" domains, then when a spam to a particular address, I'll know where it came from.

Hey TheGuv, I emailed the admins regarding the EXACT same issue a couple months ago. My personal paid mailbox is FULL of SPAM everyday. It is the most annoying thing! Please let me know if you find a solution to this...
