View Full Version : Intense Stretching vs. Long-Term, Moderate (or even Passive) Stretching
I have been contemplating this issue as of late---primarily because I have struggled with having to perform dedicated stretching routines (I much prefer girthwork).
Anyway, this applies to everyone, so I've put it here:
Would passive/light-moderate stretching on a daily basis be as effective as more intense stretching performed on, say, a 2 on, 1 off schedule?
I happen to think that this would be true. After all, think of the various all-day passive stretchers that are out there (such as the Circle Device, for example). These work along the same lines, correct?
My concern is that the relatively short duration of intense stretching is not keeping my ligs sufficiently-stretched. I fear that they simply endure some trauma, then merely recoil and toughen up in order to deal with the stress---thereby not really stretching in a permanent way (not to mention making it tougher to stretch them in subsequent stretching sessions). Is my logic flawed here?
Would my ligaments permanently stretch if I were to perform less intense stretches every single day, or use an all-day passive stretcher (such as my 16 ounce Circle Device) for 8+ hours per day?
I obviously need to make decisions for myself, but I figured that this might be helpful for others to consider. Despite the convolutedness of this post, my intention is not to add confusion.
Please discuss!

Hey BV,
It is for the reasons that you have noted, that I believe in the "toilet stretches" A good intense workout to stretch the ligs good and proper and then several random stretches and tugs throughout the day to keep then stretched ;)

I think the best of both worlds would be hanging.
Intense, and for long periods of time.
But as far as exercises go. I think increasing the intensity ( not time ) is best. I started a visualization exercise yesterday while doing my stretching and it really increased my intensity.
What you visualize is to stretch to a particular goal. Like say, if I stretch down, I try to touch the floor. If I stretch up, I try to touch my chin.
It also helps to eliminate the fear of injuring yourself and going at it with less intensity than you should. Need to remember that your not going to be able to pull your dick off. It's a pretty damn strong body part.
8 hours is a bit much to work your penis though, Ithink even IT needs to heal a bit.

Sorry for the double post, but I just read something that contradicts what I had said in the previous post about resting.
It seems that for length work, longer is better.
Because the penis is composed of soft tissue and only contains a small amount of muscle, no real amount of rest is needed.
I also saw a study that was done using the Size genetics device on 22 men that said that most men gained an average of .4 cm a month when they wore it 10 hrs/ day. The amount of gains was consistent with the amount of time the men wore the device.
That makes me want to look into an ADS again :D
wohoo,
Thanks for the info.
That makes me want to look into an ADS again :D
That also makes me want to start wearing my 16 ounce Circle Device again!
When I first got it, I encountered slippage problems because my glans is smaller in girth than my shaft. My only recourse was to fasten the device tighter using rubber bands---the result being constricted circulation (necessating removal of the device at relatively frequent intervals---in other words, a huge pain in the ass!).
Since that time, I have concentrated on increasing head girth, which seems to have helped---I tried out the device again a couple weeks ago, and was able to wear it 2-3+ hours at a time.
By now, I should be able to do three 2-3 hour sessions of wearing the device throughout each day. I'll try wearing it for as long as possible---every single day---and see how things progress.
In fact, aside from "toilet stretches," this is the only dedicated "lengthwork" I will do. My only routine will therefore consist of girthwork. Having only a girthwork routine will allow me to put on some crazy ass girth gains! I will shock the shit out of my little buddy until he gets medium, then some more, until he gets big! Squeezes, Slammers, K.I.S.S., Caterpillars, Squashes, Bends......don't you just love it?!?! :sm18
I'll keep you posted!

I agree. You'll want to cycle different intensities so you don't get burnt out, but the mainstay of your routine should be intense stretches and girth work.
