Okay...first off I gotta say that it was an excellent suggestion to start off a forum dedicated to hardgainers!
Once the idea is carried out this thread should be moved there by one of the moderators.

Let's get started then!

I'd like to list a couple of things that have made my life as a hardgainer even harder (or should I say softer,If u know what I mean:D )

-Certain medications:
For example, most antidepressants have some sexual side affects, thus drastically reducing the amount of erections one has during the course of the day. This means less oxygen-rich blood coursing through your penile veins, which leads to: surprise surprise, slower gains. Zoloft and apparently Prozac as well are a few examples of this. Not all antidepressants cause this, though. If you absolutely necessarily MUST be on them, try taking only half the prescribed dose,or another milder brand of medication.

-Steroids and some prohormones as well:
I'm sure that this goes without saying but I'll say it anyway:
DON'T DO ROIDS IF YOU EVER WANT TO ADD A QUARTER OF AN INCH TO YOUR PENIS!! They may temporarily boost your testosterone levels and improve your sex drive..but just wait 'till you've finished doing a cycle...and you won't have an erection for a very long time.
The same goes for a lot of prohormones too. They have a tendency to mess up your T-levels after doing a cycle, just like the real stuff, and some even cause sexual dysfunction DURING the cycle (a good example of this would be 1-AD which puts your penis into a state of hybernation).

Any contribution to this thread would be greatly appreciated!

I would not consider it wise to make suggestions of a medical nature. Especially when it comes to prescription drugs. Some people are on them for a good reason. Cutting a dose in half may be ok for some of them and devastating to others.

Always consult your doctor before altering your prescription.

Overzealousness

Lack of motivation

Inability to follow instructions

Impatience

Routine hopping

As far as the drugs, MANY of them have sexual side effects. Read the paperwork that comes with the prescription. If the side effects are too severe, ask your doc about the possibility of changing meds.

Yep..problably shouldn't have recommended that. I have personally done it..I complained to my doctor about the side effects, who then advised me to cut the dose in half since I had already been on the meds for quite some time and felt a lot better than when I started. But depression is a very serious matter, don't get me wrong, and anyone who is SEVERELY depressed should for his/her own sake follow the exact dosage. The same goes for any other serious medical condition that is being treated with meds.
