I am very open to taking the necessary rest days for PE. But with hanging, and on the sites for hanging, they say that taking a rest day is counterproductive. This is very confusing to me, as I do not want to lose or slow down any gaining progress that I have, and I also do not want to injur myself. Can someone give me the scientific reasons why I should take rest days from hanging please?

There has been some debate about rest days for various PE techniques on the forum previously.
I will share my observations here....
When stretching , either manually or through hanging, it is mainly the ligaments and tunica that are targeted. I believe that the ligaments and tunica do not need rest days as there is no actual breakbown and rebuilding of cells, rather incremental stretching of the collagenous material that makes up these parts of the penis.
With girthwork, it is totally different, Not only are we trying to expand the tunica, but also break down and rebuild the cells bigger, that make up the inner tissues of the penis. It is the breakdown and rebuilding bigger of these tissues, that contribute to both length and girth and require the rest days.

Yes, that is what the other places say about tunica and lig work. Thanx for the info, dazz. I "don't" miss a rest day for jelqing. In fact, as I am satisfied with 5.75 right now, I only do it every so often to increase my circulation down there
