Ok i just started and i have some questions:

first, how many days a week am i supposed to do the exercises? every day?

and does anyone else have trouble staying flaccid when doing the long schlong? I get a boner every time, and i have to wait for it to go down every time, which adds up a lot and my exercise takes a lot longer than i would like

HI mate,
These 2 questions have been answered many times on this forum :)

Exercise days are 3 on - 1 off, 2 on - 1 off. I believe that is detailed in PH with the free exercises.

As for getting boners on the stretch, very common for newbies, the mind equates the stimulation with sex and erection is the result. You will master it better in a little time. Meantime, do your girthwork first so as to exhaust your dick a little, then you should be right for stretching :)
