I've been thinking about weight lifting routines a lot lately and I recently stumbled upon an old idea I had forgotten about: the light day. The theory is that by doing a light workout (as in less workload and less intensity) you'll be aiding recovery. It's also known as active rest in some circles.

Now, I've been thinking if this can be applied to PE. It seems to be true that more frequent stimulation (i.e. more growth-inducing work) would mean possibly greater gains over time assuming that recovery is taken care of. Has anyone experimented with anything like this? Perhaps unwillingly? (Had to do a quick routine now-and-then because there wasn't time for "real" hard workout?) Any feedback would be welcome.

You could be on to something there, because sometimes on the 3rd day I'll trade off 1 or 2 routines for more intense exercises and thus seems take longer to recover from and by the time the 1st day rolls around again I have slight difficulty ocasionally.
Needless to say, I've stopped doing this, because I prefer it to be ready for action, so to speak. The light day seems to be somthing to be experimented with though, who knows it could be the thing.?????????
