is it not good to do edging because it can increase the size of the prostate? I have noticed that when i drink now I have to pee alot more than I used to.
Right now i am currently edging 3 or 4 times a day during my exercises, and dont relieve myself until my rest days which are on the 4th day and on the 7th. IS this bad to be holding it in for so long?
Lastly what is the latest word on edging? Good or bad?

What the heck is "edging"?
LOL...I don't believe I have ever heard of that--at least that I know of.

Edging is bringing yourself to the point of climax and not ejaculating.
As for it enlarging the prostate there are many things that could cause that.
The prostate also enlarges with age.
You can take herbal vitamins for the prostate that would cause it to shrink if it's too large but going to the bathroom alot is not a sign of an enlarged prostate.
Getting up in the middle of the night to urinate to the point it interferes with your sleep. Weak streams where you don't feel your done urinating but no urine is coming out.
These are some symptoms of prostate enlargement and you should see a doctor if you're experiencing them.
Simply not edging anymore won't cause the prostate to shrink.

I cannot see why "edging" would do anything for your ability to ejaculate, and in any case you really do not want to do anything that would enlarge your prostate...I cannot emphasize that enough! An enlarged prostate is not a normal thing, and although it happens to the majority of men as they age--it is NOT something you should hope hope. Trust me on this one.
Check out this link and read up a bit on the physiology of ejaculation:

As you can see, ejaculation is driven by muscular contractions--not the prostate (which is a non-muscular gland).
I am not sure what you were hoping to accomplish with this "edging" technique, but I can assure you that it is highly unlikely (as far as I can tell) that it would ever enlarge the prostate. And that's a good thing, because you want your prostate to stay as small as possible--for as long as possible. Look up "benign prostatic hyperplasia" (BPH) and read about that for a while. You'll have to deal with soon enough, odds are...

from what i've read on here edging isn't so much an exercise for gains.it's more of an exercise in learning to control your ejaculations.learning where your point of no return is & trying to hold out more so you can last longer for your lady.no one wants to be a minute man so if you know when your about to blow you can always pull it out and change positions or whatever you need to do to make yourself last longer.this and learning your pc muscle can turn a minuteman into a stud and chances are the woman won't even know or care as long as you get her off.

your right about the whole edging thing helping with premature ejaculation but i also feel it has other benefits. If you incorporate the supra slammers in your workout then edging is necessary. Also it can be beneficial in other ways like at the end of your workout and can help give you good pump and bloodflow.

Tom I think he was worried that edging would increase the size of his prostate. He wasn't trying to enlarge it.
Thanks for making that perfectly clear, edging does not enlarge the prostate or any girth exercise when withholding ejaculations.
Edging is good for endurance training to last longer in bed and it's good as a ballooning effect which helps with girth.

Thanks jacomarks for the article. Yeah it makes sense how edging is good for lasting longer Now it feels like it takes too long. I don't necessarly like that, but so it doesn't really enlarge the prostate, but it does help with girth work? because that is something that i am trying to increase at. I have had no luck so far.

Well, this is basically in the same vein (no pun intended) as PC flexes. The PC (pubococcygeal) muscle is a pelvic floor muscle that can slow or stop the flow of urine, when used in that fashion. Check out this link:

From the sounds of things, this "edging" is nothing more than learning to use the PC muscle to effectively control ejaculation--and I can see where there is benefit to that. So I have no problem with this, in those terms.
But as long as we are on the subject (albeit no one has come out and said it yet), let's talk about premature ejaculation. While ejaculating before one wishes to do so may not meet the medical definition of premature ejaculation, it certainly may be a "premature" event in the mind of the participants. And although there may be physical factors responsible for ejaculating prematurely, I believe that it is still thought that psychological factors are as big a cause of ejaculating prematurely as anything. Needless to say, this is complicated subject, as it pertains to the largest sexual organ in the body...one's brain.
I think it's pretty widely accepted that younger (less experienced) men generally do not last as long as men with more experience--especially with the same partner. So while not all men are created equal in this fashion, it doesn't surprise me when younger men ask about "lasting longer" for just this reason. I think sometimes we tend to worry unnecessarily about things such as this--looking for something that simply might not be there. My advice to these guys is to simply give it time. Generally speaking, premature ejaculation is not rare, but it isn't as common as one might think. Certainly there are diseases (and medications) that can affect one's ability to orgasm; in either direction. But for the most part if a guy is otherwise healthy, odds are it's more of a psychological issue than a physical one. So I guess what I am saying is don't talk yourself into something that may not be an issue. If you want to work on PC flexes...then great! Go for it, if it makes you feel better. But don't obsess about it, when a "weak" PC muscle may have nothing to do with the issue at hand...
And speaking of "at hand", remember in the movie "There's Something About Mary" when Ben Stiller's character had to 'clean the pipes' before his hot date? There you go...
