Hello guys,
I know I have not been very active on these forums of late, however, I am back (by popular demand ;) ) to post a very topical issue regarding the SG device.
Those of you who know me, will remember that I compiled that a Mega Thread on the SG when it was first launched (in the new style).
As people have continued to use the device however, it seems that we do need a sticky of some kind that those who require it can refer to easily.
So here it is :)
Big thanks to Big Al who came up with the gel insole idea :)
Step 1: The Protection Pad
The first step to reducing slippage is correct usage of the Protection Pad.
This is this piece (and should look like this):

The Protection Pad should be placed over the penis, and rests below the glands, with the plastic comfort strap placed over it. This will ensure that the girth measurements become a little larger, and therefore ensure that slippage is reduced (see above).
Step 2: Tightening the Comfort Strap
Due to the nature of the device the strap does need to be pulled tightly through the support piece and around the penis.
However, a word of caution, the straps are made from rubber. They will snap if they are pulled too vigorously! So be as gentle as possible with them!
Please note: the tip of the penis is likely to discolour slightly whilst the device is in use. This is down to the nature of the pressure exerted and the tightness of the comfort strap.
Whilst this is perfectly normal, you must remove the device every two hours (minimum) to massage the penis to restore blood flow.
If you are in any discomfort, remove the device immediately and repeat above.
Step 3: Alternative comfort arrangements
As per the advice of Big Al, you can try substituting the comfort strap for a gel insole.
In England there are loads of ranges, but the ones I know of are called “Party Feet” by Scholl and you can get them everywhere – even Tescos!
These can be cut to size and placed underneath the comfort strap.
This fantastic idea is two fold:
1. It cushions the penis adequately from the force of the comfort strap
2. Due to it’s composition it reduces slippage as the rubber strap will “gel” to it
Also on this line of thinking is DazzlingDazz’s “wet suit” idea, which may or may not be more readily available to you.
