I have encountered a new problem with using the extender. As I have increased my stretch length I have also started to damage the metal rods for the extender. seems as though the gained length is causing an increased stress on the structural integrity of the rods. I have had to replace both my 4cm pieces with 2cm pieces on both sides, so that my extender now have five 2cm rods on each side topped with a 2,5mm piece on each side. In addition 2 of the 2cm rods have also had to be replaced. Now it might seem logical to reduce the lenght of the extender to reduce the stress, however if I do I am worried that my gains will come to a halt.
Any advice or similar experiences?

That shouldn't be happening. It sounds like you got a hold of some defective parts.

Hmm that's a bit odd, mine are incredibly strong and are years old now and still ticking perfectly fine. Another idea is to talk to CS as that's very atypical, maybe they can tell you if you are doing something unintended. They're steel or something aren't they? So they should be golden, I say ask CS I'm sure they'll assist you or maybe even give you an exchange if it's recent enough :).
