Hey I'm just wondering, should you avoid getting an erection too soon after a workout? Since the penis should be resting, also since we should refrain from masterbating within 4hrs before and after a workout, does the same apply to erections?

Not saying we shouldn't get an erection until 4hrs after a workout but as in, we should give the penis a bit of a rest before "awakening" it for anything. Can getting an erection right after a workout cause a difference in results?

Erections do not hurt a thing, it is the ejaculation that is the theoretical problem.

Thanks for the reply. Also, when you say ejaculation, does that mean masterbating is ok, as long as you don't ejaculate?

That is exactly what it means. I have never understood why someone would masturbate without finishing the process, but that is neither here nor there. Your question was related to whether or not it is OK, and it is OK.

Like turtle said nothing wrong with erections after a workout.I always finished my routine with a bit of edging and recently just started started throwing in a few supra slammers.In my case i need to masturbate up the point ejaculation for the sake of the exercise.These exercises along with PC flexes are helpful in learning how to control premature ejaculation.

So it's not a good idea to let one off when you done your workout? I don't understand how it would matter.

This is more of an in-house debate thing.

Some established vets believe it doesn't matter: DLD; and I think Big Al .

I believe that after ejaculation you have the refraction and the hormones that your body produces during arousal subside.
Therefore for the most part when I do girth work I do not ejaculate.

However sometimes I stay beefed up and other times I don't. So if I don't stay beefed up then the hormones have subsided anyways.

Anyways you have plenty of time to pleasure yourself anyway, but only 1 time of day for a good workout.

Like I said nothing etched in stone on this debate.

I believe I read in the forum here that you should wait between 3- to 4hrs before commencing in sexual activity? Gives you some healing time and retains the hormones?

That's pretty much the rule.Avoid sexual activity 3 hours before or after your workout.Like anth said,the jury is still out on this.Myself,i find that if i masterurbate at all within 4 or 5 hours before a workout i have a harder time getting the erection level needed for jelqing.I stick to the 3 hour rule afterwards too just in case.Usually by that time though i've downed a couple beers,ate my dinner and i'm done for the night.

From my understanding another theory is that through the various penis enlargement exercises, you have worked hard to push the blood through your penis and expand the tissue inside. Once your exercises are completed, the pressence of the extra blood in your penis allows it to stay "inflated" for just that little bit longer and in the long run helps the enlargement process.

When you ejaculate, you effectively send a message to your body that the penis dosen't need the extra blood anymore, and your body begins to redivert the blood out of the penis again... in essense your not getting that last big push that helps the penis to grow.

But I must stress this is purely theory. As far as I am aware there is not significant research that has been done in the area.
