There is evidence, which I'll post in the science of PE thread later, that shows that the tunica weakens (thins out) with age due to a loss of bloodflow. (This is one reason why the majority of sufferers from "broken penis", tunica fracture, are 30-40 years old.) That leads to an erection that is softer since the tunica can't adapt to the internal pressures of the erectile tissue. This can also cause erectile dysfunction. Using PE there is a chance to offset that.
