Hi

Im 19 and have been Pe'ing for nearly 3 months now. I have seen really good gains, but recently I have started to feel a slight pain in my finger on my hand hand. Its the main finger I used to produce an 'O' shape for when I am jelqing. Also it seems to hurt sometimes when I do jelq and afterwards if I press my finger downward or into my hand it hurts. Does anyone else experience this or is it just me. I hoping that jelqing doesn't have any long term problems I mean its a good thing but not if im gonna be have problems in my hands when im older.

Any help would be appreciated.

You've overworked either the muscles of your hand or a tendon. It will happen. My guess is you didn't really consider that part of the equation when you started the workout. Either ease off on the intensity of your jelqs for a short while, work through it (if possible, you know your body better than anyone I hope), or shorten your workout temporarily.

I hope your right but how come its started after soo many weeks. I think I've been using the same amount of intensity. I'll shorten my routine and see what happens. Thanks

Probably it's an overuse injury. You've basically worn down your resistance to the work by doing just a little bit too much. Or, you may have really weak hands. Hard to tell. If you're worried, quit. That's the last recourse.

:) Hi satty1 - I have a couple of suggestions that may help in addition to ebon00's good advice.

You may want to see your doctor to get a professional opinion regarding your hand.
You may want to experiment with different pain reliever' such as: Tylenol, Advil, or Bayer (taken 30-minutes before doing your PE workout). However, before taking any of these products, make sure that they will not interfere with any physical limitations you may have such as: allergies, ulcer, etc.

I hope this helps my friend.

Please keep us posted on the results.
