Hello everyone. Starting Monday I experienced my first Lig Pop.

I was doing a toilet stretch straight down, heard a low volume crunch and felt my dick give a tiny bit.

Needless to say it scared the Horse Shit right out of me. There was no pain involved and it happened 2 more times again while I was doing toilet Stretches.

That night I searched like a crazy man to find out if I was ripping my dick out of the body and causing irreparable damage to the love of my life.

I from what I have read, lig pops are a natural occurrence and don't pose a threat but what a scary experience!

All the rest of the week I kept experiencing more lig pops. No pain what so ever.

Last, no one can determine if lig pops are a sign of gains to come or if they are just a side effect of doing PE.

Can anyone out there explain what Lig Pops are in more detail and if they have any positive or negative effects?

They shouldn't be a reason for concern...hell, I get em every time I do a toilet stretch and I haven't noticed any negative effects from that. It does sound sickening though... snap, crackle, pop.
Like you, I also only get em popping when I stretch straight down... even more so when doing squat stretches (which is pretty much the only kind of stretching I do when hitting the john). When I pull the poor fella downwards with all my might, then squat in a rapid motion and come up even faster I sometimes feel like I'm at risk of dislocating the poor sucka...
but I doubt that'd even be possible. So let em pop, I say! It must be an indicator of the effectiveness of the stretch.

Thanks Shafty84, hopefully I will get a growth spurt :) --- No Pun.

It took 4 months of PE to get him to pop. I'm hoping this is a good sign of things to come.

The pubic symphysis has multiple ligaments over, under, around and through it. The suspensory ligament attaches to it and provides one means of transmitting force to the joint. If the pop sound is coming from a ligament, it could be any one of them. However, I'm not certain pulling on a lig will make a noise, unless the force is great enough to tear it from its attachment to a bone.

This page of Gray's Anatomy talks about the ligaments of the symphysis and includes this image. The diagram shows the interpubic fibrocartilaginous lamina which connects the two halves of the pelvis. In the discussion of this cartilage layer it mentions that a cavity is often found within the symphysis. Perhaps this cavity is related to sounds produced when the joint is moved under force.

when i was in europe i was stupid and did a hard toilet stretch, and, you guessed it, pop! well, i wasn't as fortunate as you guys. i had bad pain on my left side going up my pubic region as far as my waistline. it hurt to even touch around that area. it was sore for about 20 days and the left side still feels weak when i do my long schlong pull towards the right.

Ouch!!!
I feel pain just by reading your post! If such an occurence is possible I must be more cautious in the future...

Yep, I am very careful not to yank the little guy too hard. I'm still getting lig pops but I increase intensity very slow so as not to injure myself.
