Size genetics device (the andro top)

hey there people, not sure if anyone else has experienced this but when i put on my andro device and use the "andro top" it just either hurts too much (which isnt good) or it slips out, is the "top" needed (it says in the instructions that the top is compulsory but the website shows otherwise). any help would be appreciated, is the top needed and if not used is it bad for you?
