The pc muscle is one of the weakest muscles in your body, because it doesn't get the attention is really needs.
If you are a beginner at this, you need to give the exercises a chance to do there thing.
Soreness may occur in the beginning but should soon subside.

To my unregistered friend,
Your confidentiality is safe with us. We offer friendly advice in good company. Please register yourself, so that we may become better acquainted.
Nevertheless, I will still do my best to answer your question.
I myself have never experienced this problem, and base on that, I would have to say: No, the tailbone is not suppose to hurt when doing the pc exercises the first time. And if anyone in this forum has experienced such discomfort, please share this with our new potential comer.
It would help us to know which PE program you are affiliated with? And what procedure you follow with regards to that particular PC exercise(s).
However, regardless of my questions to you, I would like to suggest to you as a friend, to seek the advice of a professional physician or chiroprator before continuing with such a program or exercises if the pain persist for more than a day.
Please regard this advice only as a recommendation from a friend; as I am not a professional of the trade.
:) With warmest regards.

IKnow where you are coming from. I myself had somewhat of the same problem, but after a few days of PC workouts this subsided. Remember to start out slow and work your way up. Also make sure you are not tightening your stomach or thigh muscles, only the PC.
Good luck
how do u flex the muscle without tightening stomach a little bit

:) Hi Bob
If you are just starting out with the pc flex exercises, this may be difficult to do without causing another body part to respond as well.
But I assure you, that as you practice the technique, you will soon begin to gain better control over the pc muscle, which includes; being able to notice the differences between which muscles are responding accordingly. And thus gaining the feel for just the pc muscle alone.
You are literally training your mind to control this muscle as you become familiar with the different muscle groups.
Another example of this type of control would be with the muscles in each of your individual toes on your foot. Most of us have forgotten after a certain age, how to control each toe movement. But with practice each and every day, you can retrain your mind to regain the control over each individual toe. Of course, in the beginning it is difficult to do because when you try to move one toe, the other toes tend to respond as well.
Be patient with teaching your mind to control the pc muscle. If you practice your exercises routinely, you will soon gain mastery over this muscle.
;) Good luck my friend, and don't forget to become a member of the forum.

Answering Bob--if you mean how many reps in a minute--I can do sixty or more--a normal exercise of 30 times 2 seconds--is standard I think--but I add another session with 60 quick ones
