View Full Version : Which Workout Routine Would Be Best For Me?

Well, I have been a member of PH for a while now. I just really haven't gotten around to starting, but I have finally decided that I do want a change. Now which beginner workout should I do? or does it matter?

I'm wanting noticeable results in the quickest possible time. Would you guys suggest me start out with the 35-40 min. beginner wokrout or the 7-10min? There is a 20-25 minute one I think, but I just want to know what would be best for me.

For starters get "fast" out of your mind, PE is a long term process. I would start with the 10 min. for the first two weeks, then I would move to the 20 to 25 min. routine for at least another four weeks. At that point you can decide if you want to increase to 40 minutes. Just don't jump in that heavy at first because you might hurt yourself.

Alright thank you turtle, and also if I get going on the 40 minute routine in the next couple of months and then master it, and jump into the Intermediate workouts, would I need to start with the 7-10 minute workout?

No! You just need to condition yourself to the length of the workout. Once your comfortable with the 40 min. workout, you can switch to the intermediate level with no problem. Just don't start the intermediate routine until you have 8 weeks of the begineer routine under your belt.

Alright, thanks again turtle, and I guess another 8 weeks for the advanced? or longer?

That's one of those you need to think about how it feels. I tend to be conservative, and I would say that 8 weeks is reasonable, but realistically you could start to use a blend of the two after about 4 weeks. One of the things that you need to learn and get comfortable with is which exercises seem to work for you. I don't think after 4 weeks of intermediate there is any problem with intoducing an advanced exercise or two to your routine. Actually it is a good way to move towards the more advanced exercises.
