Hello all,
My name is Drew and I'm new here. I'm about to begin my programme and I'm feeling skeptical and optimistic at the same time! (Is that possible? ;-) ) I've read through many of the posts on this forum and like the way you guys exchange information and support each other.
I'd like to ask a few questions if I may:
Do you recommend I begin the programme slowly and then increase gradually?
How hard should I pull?
Are pills necessary for results? I don't usually like taking stuff like that in general; plus, they're rather pricey.
That's all for now...
Thanks,
Drew :-)

MMODrew: welcome to the club. It's always great to see new faces around here (is that possible?) :)
Here's a little of my advice, which I'm sure will mirror that of other members here as well, hopefully:
Is this your first time ever doing any sort of PE at all? If it is then I suggest you start out doing your programme like you said, slowly. You don't want to jump the gun and pull/stretch your willie-wonka eagerly and with unbridled enthusiasm and find out afterwards that you've damaged him! The possibility of people being excited about gaining and attempting to get it all in one session usually leads to injury! This causes downtime, and you don't want that.
PE'ing is a game of wits. "Should I do this, or that? What if I do this, what will happen?" It's your big head against your little head! You want to temper the gung-ho let's-go pull-me-hard-as-you-can-or-you-won't-see-results-fast-enough attitude of your little buddy with reason and discipline. It takes time to see results! Gains don't come overnight like the Federal Express.
That said, don't also be so afraid to grab your willie. Of course you're the only one who'll know how much and how hard to pull. You'll have to figure that out for yourself. Everybody's willie is different. I may squeeze harder while for you it may be too much in the beginning. Or vice-versa, who knows? It's all where you are, too.
So my best advice is get a feel for the exercises and watch the clips to see how they are done. This will help make sure your technique is right. Once you're comfortable with the exercises and are doing them reasonably well, you've got a solid foundation now to work with. It's probably a good idea to start with the basics!
After all, you must learn to walk before you can run.
Good luck in your program, MMODrew, and keep us in-the-loop!:)

Thanks for the reply, tigerbartlett!
Thanks for your suggestions; your advice is aligned with what I intuitively feel is the right way for me to proceed. :)
I will err on the side of caution; I wouldn't want to hurt myself!
I will certainly keep you in the loop as far as progress goes, and I'll probably have more questions when I'm more familiar with the exercises.
Note to Daz:
Have all the example video issues been sorted? I'm accessing the site using Mac OSX (10.2.3) and I'm experiencing some difficulty. The usual method for vewing mpeg's on the Mac is via 'QuickTime', yet this doesn't work for some reason. I am able to D/L and view the Windows Media files, but there is no audio. Should there be an audio track? If not, then I suppose I'm all set. :) Although getting the files to be compatible with QT would be a much more elegant solution. ;)
That's all for now...
Take care!
Drew :-)
