In the last week there has been quite a few new posters and some uncalled for posts that i find "unhelpful" and to be quite honest "offensive" has there been a hack that i don't know about... I only ask cuz ive seen it before on different sites :eek: ... And was wondering if i am missing somethin??????

I'm a new poster but I hope that I'm not one of those that you describe. I wouldn't want to gutter up this forum with useless post.

Which posts are youreferring to? Can you give us some links so that we can look into them?

I think that he meant it not too seriously. Jareth probably saw some wrong post or he could have really mistakenly accused since there are a lot of newcomers posting a lot.

I just saw some replies throughout the forum that weren't really helpful.. But Like X said i think i misinterpreted them, for new posters..

I know what Jareth is talking about, but I think it is just the push for more posts. The idea that prizes were linked to post volume resulted in a lot of useless posts. I think that the idea of linking prizes to the volume of posts is a huge mistake. One of the things that makes this forum unique from the other forums is the concern and intelligence of the posts. Everyone tries to help each other, and how often you post really doesn't mean much, it's what you say that is important. If someone had broken forum rules I would have stepped in, but posts that are basically useless is not a reason for a moderator to step in. I must admit that I agree with Jareth, I really dislike the useless nonsense, but I do understand the value of volume. It's one of those tough calls, volume vs quality. Personally, I prefer quality, but as a businessman I understand the concept.

No that's not the point at all. If you have a legitimate question then by all means ask it. If you feel that you have a constructive comment then by all means post it. I'm not picking on you in the least. Your trying to be a good member here, and that's all that any of us can ask. I meant nothing personal towards you, I was just commenting in general related to Jareth had said.

Thanks turtle. I didn't want to offend anybody with this post, and iam glad u step in to aid in my observation.. I figured "prizes" was one of the reasons for so many as well. The prizes that are awarded ONLY AID in the pe progress and the real gains come from manual pe, and learning what one can from good people off this site.

yeah, prizes are not the reason why I came here to post. I don't have intention of trying to come here only to benefit myself. I wouldn't be selfish like that. I came here in intention to help myself AS well as others who need help and that's why the community forum like this exist is to help everyone, right?

That's exactly the whole point, helping others is the fun part of all this. I can tell from your posts that your trying to follow this idea, just keep doing it.
