I am having trouble gripping my penis to do the long shlong. Anyone got any suggestions?

Try some of these suggestions which might be able to help you out:
Use a soft fabric or material and wrap this around your shaft behind the glans. This should help prevent the slippage of the hand over the glans. A kleenex works great for this.
You could also use some talcum powder, or baby powder if you have some around. This is also a good remedy.
Make sure you have a comfortable grip and that it is "locked" behind the glans; this provides for a longer stretch without your hand aching.
Try a different grip, for instance an overhand OK grip behind the glans.
If your hand starts to ache, switch to the other hand and continue performing the exercises then.
